Do you love making wire jewelry as much as I do? I’ve been making jewelry from wire for nearly 15 years, and I didn’t want to keep this knowledge to myself, so I write wire jewelry tutorials sharing what I’ve learned.
To make a necklace of wire with our own hands, we need beads of different sizes. In my case, these are beads made of natural stone 7; 8 and 12 mm. Any soft wire 1 mm thick; 0.8 mm and 0.4 mm. I used silver-colored Chinese wire. Accessories for the design of the necklace: chain, lock, metal beads, connecting rings.
You’ll Need Jewelry Making Pliers.

3) Optional Round Nose Pliers
A special tool can be used to twist wire spirals. Such a tool is mainly used for the manufacture of rings.
We will use more affordable means. I will show you three options for making spirals.

You can take a hand drill and attach it to the board. Then fix the board with clamps on the edge of the table. Insert a 1-2 mm thick needle into the cartridge (knitting needles can be used). We wind the wire with a thickness of 0.4 mm.
Pull the finished spiral from the knitting needle.
Next – inside the finished spiral we insert a wire 1 mm thick and again wind it onto a knitting needle.
It should turn out as in the photo below. Determine the desired length of the spiral experimentally. I have finished spirals 4-5 cm long.
We insert a 1 mm thick wire into the finished spiral and make loops for fastening on both sides.
We use an electric drill.
If you don’t have anything, make a small home-made machine out of metal corners.
Make some spirals for the necklace. Next we will make large beads for the necklace.
We need a 0.8 mm thick wire and a spoke. Beads of 7 and 8 mm. We wind the spiral as in the photo about 4 cm. Next – see photos.
Just like in a spiral, we insert a wire 1 mm thick. On both sides we make loops for fastening the connecting rings.
Collect the necklace. We use accessories for jewelry of the corresponding color.
Make a pendant from a spiral and beads 12 mm. Intermediate beads with flat metal beads are also 12 mm. Attach the chain with the lock.
