You need to start with simple weaving techniques, to create simple wire wrapped jewelry for beginners by your own hands. Over time, when you gain a little experience, move on to more complex things.

I recommend using a natural, soft copper wire. Copper wire is inexpensive and it is perfect for weaving jewelry. If you are just starting out with wire crafts, you can use copper wire 1mm and 0.4mm thick. Over time, you can use copper wire of other thicknesses.

What other advantages does natural copper wire have? Copper wire can be flattened with a hammer on an anvil. Copper wire can be twisted, sanded and polished.

I really like to make copper wire jewelry look “old fashioned”. To do this, I patinate (to make it look old) the wire and then polish it. In my opinion, the jewelry after this treatment looks amazing.
